Skin Conditions That Deserve More Than a Salon Visit

Most med spas draw a clear line at cosmetic concerns. We don't. Skin Revival at Paragon Personal Healthcare is physician-led, which means we treat the conditions that aesthetic-only practices turn away — rosacea, vascular lesions, benign skin growths, and more — with clinical-grade technology and a physician actively involved in your care plan.

Conditions We Treat That Most Med Spas Won't

There's a meaningful difference between a medical skin treatment and a cosmetic one — and it starts with who is overseeing your care. At Skin Revival, our aesthetic provider Christy Williams works in direct collaboration with Dr. Plute, giving every patient access to physician-level judgment on diagnosis, treatment planning, and outcomes.

That structure allows us to manage conditions that fall outside the scope of a typical aesthetics practice:
Rosacea — persistent redness, visible flushing, and broken capillaries addressed with IPL and targeted vascular protocols

Vascular lesions — spider veins, facial veins, and superficial vascular irregularities treated with laser precision

Benign lesions and skin tags — safe, in-office removal of growths that are benign but bothersome

Medical-grade and prescription skincare — compounded formulas, Retin-A, and dermatologic-grade products tailored to your skin's specific needs

Conditions We Treat

Rosacea Treatment

Rosacea is a chronic condition — but it's manageable with the right technology and a consistent treatment plan. We use IPL photofacial therapy to target the redness, flushing, and visible vessels that define rosacea, reducing symptoms and improving overall skin tone over a series of sessions.

Vascular Lesion Treatment

Spider veins, broken capillaries, and facial veins don't respond to topical products. Laser-based vascular treatment delivers targeted energy directly to the vessel, collapsing it without damaging the surrounding skin. The result is clearer, more even skin — with minimal downtime.

Benign Lesion & Skin Tag Removal

Skin tags, benign growths, and small lesions are common — and commonly undertreated, because most aesthetic providers won't touch them. We remove these safely in-office, with physician oversight throughout. We can also help you understand whether your concern may qualify for insurance coverage before you commit to treatment.

Why Patients Choose a Physician-Led Practice for Skin Conditions

Why Choose Skin Revival

When a skin concern crosses from cosmetic into medical territory, the provider's credentials and oversight structure matter. Here's what distinguishes our approach:

  • Physician involvement in every care plan — Dr. Plute is consulted on treatment decisions, not just present on paper
  • 12 years as a medical practice, with 7 years of dedicated med spa experience built on that foundation
  • Clinical-grade devices, including Cynosure/Palomar laser technology and IPL, selected for medical-grade efficacy
  • A compounding-pharmacy partnership that makes prescription skincare accessible and customized
  • Guidance on insurance eligibility for conditions that may qualify — something most aesthetic practices cannot offer
  • A small team with a single dedicated provider, so your results are consistent and your care is continuous

Frequently Asked Questions About Medical Skin Treatments

FAQ

  • Do I need a referral to be seen for a medical skin concern?

No referral is required. You're welcome to book a consultation directly. That said, we do receive referrals from local dermatologists for patients who need physician-supervised laser or IPL treatment — so if your dermatologist has pointed you our way, you're in the right place.

  • Can my skin tag or lesion removal be covered by insurance?

It depends on the nature of the growth and your insurance plan. Because we operate within a physician-led practice, we can help you evaluate whether your concern may have insurance eligibility before scheduling treatment. This is a conversation most aesthetic practices simply aren't positioned to have.

  • Where are you located, and do you serve patients outside of Canonsburg?

Our clinic is located in Canonsburg, PA, in the Southpointe area. We regularly see patients from Peters Township, McMurray, Washington, and throughout the South Hills and Washington County corridor. If you're nearby, we're close.

  • How many treatments will I need for rosacea or vascular lesions?

Most patients see meaningful improvement over a series of treatments — typically three to five sessions, spaced several weeks apart. The exact protocol depends on your skin, the severity of the condition, and how it responds to initial treatment. We'll give you a realistic picture during your consultation.

Ready to Address a Skin Concern the Right Way?

If you've been told your skin condition is "too medical" for a med spa or "too cosmetic" for a dermatologist, we're the practice that bridges that gap. Book a consultation and let's talk through what's going on with your skin and what treatment makes sense.
